Tuscany : steeped in nature and quiet luxury!

THE OLD MONEY VIBE

Places: Siena, Pisa, San Gimignano, Montepulciano, Pienza, Colle di Val d’Elsa, Chianti Region, Val d’Orcia, Maremma, Livorno, Montalcino, Arezzo, Cortona, Saturnia hot springs

Tuscany isn’t just a region, it’s a vibe. Rolling hills, cypress-lined roads, medieval villages, and world-class wines make it a darling for every kind of traveler. Everyone can make the most of it, no matter what they are seeking!

Mornings Smell of Earth & Wild Herbs

Every morning in Tuscany greets you like a secret whispered by the land itself. Before your eyes even open, the scent finds you : damp earth, wild rosemary, and fresh baked breads! You step onto the villa terrace and there it is: the valley, rolling and golden-green, stretching all the way to the horizon in great unhurried waves, and cypress sentinels standing at attention along winding clay roads.

Start with a swim at the villa pool followed by a hearty seasonal breakfast with local olive oil and cheese.

This is how a Tuscan holiday begins!

A rhythm that belongs to You

Mornings belong to the towns. You wander through medieval streets still cool in the shade of stone archways, exploring artisan workshops where leather is being cut by hand, galleries where contemporary Tuscan painters hang their work alongside Renaissance prints, into tiny boutiques that smell of dried lavender and aged wood. Retail therapy here is an experience not to be missed! A piece of hand-thrown pottery, a scarf the colour of the hills, a bottle of olive oil to remember the holiday by!

The afternoons are for the thermal spas, the ancient, sulphur-warm pools that have been soothing tired bodies and souls since the Roman times! Relax in the open waters or if you are in the mood for something indulgent, sign up for the luxury thermal experience. The mind, body and soul are soothed.

Then the evenings arrive, the vineyards and olive groves come alive in the amber hour. You sit at an outdoor table and the tasting begins: wines chosen with care, fresh truffles shaved on your bread and a generous dose of charcuterie! These are not the best wines you have had in Italy. They are the best wines you have had, full stop.

Indulge your taste buds

The farm-to-table experience here is simply how things are done. You walk the farmland in the morning and choose what will become your lunch: a fistful of chard, a basket of just-warm tomatoes, herbs you have to identify by smell because their labels are in Italian and the farmer is too polite to laugh. By afternoon, those same ingredients arrive at the table transformed — rustic and bright, tasting of the specific soil of this specific valley. Alongside them, on the evenings when the stars are out and someone has lit candles on the long stone table, come the Michelin-starred menus: hyper-seasonal, ingredient-first, every dish a quiet argument that the most extraordinary cooking needs nothing invented, only attention.

Tuscan towns: a piece of renaissance

For those who love old medieval towns there is Siena, Piazza del Campo and it’s wonderful seasonal markets! God knows I have shopped everything from food to clothes, to leather bags from here! The towers of San Gimignano are UNESCO listed, but some of my best memories come from its gelato.

Right in the city center, two globally acclaimed gelaterias face each other. Obviously we tried both and were blown away by how different and distinct the gelatos were! Walking through this small medieval town, we also stumbled upon a quirky artifact shop unlike anything I’ve ever seen: it’s a treasure trove of props and memorabilia from all superhero and fiction movies you can image! That shop is a piece of art!

A stop at Pienza makes sense to taste their world famous pecorino cheese, and at Arezzo and Cortona , for the frescoed churches, artisan shops, and sweeping hilltop views for nature lovers and amazing vintage shopping for those who are like me! 🙂

And now the crowning jewels of the region, Val d’Orcia a forever favorite movie location, and Montepulciano & Montalcino! Did you know that these two regions produce two unique wines Vino Nobile and Brunello that is not found anywhere else in the world?

No matter what draws you to Tuscany, whether it’s sipping wine on a hilltop, exploring ancient streets, chasing the perfect pasta, or lounging on a hidden beach, this region delivers.

The key to best enjoy Tuscany is to plan your route around the seasons, choosing destinations that match your travel mood, designing your holiday trip for the best experiences, and knowing how to reach those secluded gems!

Tuscany will give you more than you came for. The key is in the planning: route your journey by season, choose destinations that match your travel mood, and know how to reach the hidden places. That is precisely what we do.
